FESTINA 2020

With the tagline “An Entrepreneur Shine through”, this year Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship (PIMSE) organized its annual food and crafts carnival ‘FESTINA’ on 10^th February, 2020. Festina 2020 drew crowds from not only colleges such as Sinhagad, Arihant, Trinity, Abeda Inamdar, GM Momin college, Bhiwandi etc. and our own PIMSE but also from outsiders putting up stalls thereby displaying entrepreneurial spirit in management students of PIMSE to showcase their talent and earn profit in the business they ventured into.

Festina is also a way of building entrepreneurial skills, business decision making and creating a niche in the market for a day long festivity which commenced with cake cutting to the 30 stalls present in the campus grounds which was well decorated. Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh along with Director, PIMSE Dr. Shakeel Ahmed as well as the Chief Guest Mrs. GirijaKirpekar-Naik, owner and founder of KITCHEN CONFIDENCE STUDIO for the event were present at the inaugural function.  Dr. Moses Kolet, Principal, GM Momin college for women was also present and graced the occasion with his team. The stalls were judged by the chief guests on parameters of taste of food, hygiene, discipline, decorative stall etc. Many outside vendors were impressed with the whole festival as there were display of accessories and lip smacking foods made by them.

This event was organized by Dr. Anjum Sayyad and Mr. Talha Ahmed under the Entrepreneurship Club. This event was conducted to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among its students to enable to be more enterprising.
