FESTINA

With the tagline “An Entrepreneur Shine through”, this year Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship (PIMSE) organized its annual food and crafts carnival ‘FESTINA’ on 20th February, 2019. Festina 2K19 drew crowds from not only colleges such as Sinhagad, Arihant, Trinity, Abeda Inamdar etc. and our own PIMSE but also from outsiders putting up stalls thereby displaying entrepreneurial spirit in management students of PIMSE to showcase their talent and earn profit in the business they ventured into.
Festina is also a way of building entrepreneurial skills, business decision making and creating a niche in the market for a day long festivity which commenced with cake cutting to the 30 stalls present in the campus grounds which was well decorated. The Trustee, AKI Mr.Mirza Salat Baig, Principal Dr. Aftab Anwar Shaikh along with Director, PIMSE Dr.Shakeel Ahmed as well as the Chief Guests for the event Chef Vijay Thakur, Chef Consultant at Swiggy, and Mr. Vishal Pipraiya, Owner of Pagdandi Bookstore Café, were present at the inaugural function. The stalls were judged by the chief guests on parameters of taste of food, hygiene, discipline, decorative stall etc. Many outside vendors were impressed with the whole festival as there were display of accessories and lip smacking foods made by them.
This event was organized by Dr. Anjum Sayyad and Mr. Talha Ahmed under the Entrepreneurship Club. The E-cell of PIMSE is driven by enthusiasm to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among its students to enable to be more enterprising.
