ALUMNI SERIES WORKSHOP ON IT SPECIALISATION

Under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, The Alumni Mentorship series workshop for counselling Information Technology students by Mr. Ravindra Kumar, VP Market & Securities Services HSBC Technology India, who has Over 15+ years of experience. Mr. Ravindra is an MBA-IT and has professional certifications in CDPSE / CHFI/ CEH / ISO27001 LA/ ISO31000/ ITIL V3 Foundation.

He has worked with top companies like Infosys, Eaton and UBS as well as Deutsche Bank as AVP- Tech. Risk. Sir is currently Senior Control Manager at HSBC. This session was conducted in both online and offline mode under the able guidance of Dr. Porinta Banerjee, Director PIMSE.

Mr. Ravindra Kumar answered all the questions asked by the students related to the technical aspects. He also explained the advantages of Java, Python which will be beneficial for the students in enhancing their profile. 

Mr. Ravindra Kumar also stated the career opportunities in the IT stream as well as mentioned the path to excel on a professional level by updating the level of knowledge and experience on a daily basis. Mr. Kumar was guiding the students for sculpting their skills and abilities in terms of becoming a successful IT developer as well as working in the testing department.

Last but not the least, he emphasised on the essential term by stating that success cannot be achieved by going through short cuts in the IT sector. Therefore, he concluded the session by thanking the college management and wishing good luck for all the students in developing their career.

Students were mesmerised by the guest speaker’s pearls of wisdom and gems of knowledge that surely they will inculcate in their learning and help them in choosing the right specialisation in turn helping them in the path to their career.
