On this auspicious occasion of Savitri Mahotsav, PIMSE salutes the contribution of Hon. Smt. Savitribai Phule , a social reformer, educationalist, and poet.

We at PIMSE celebrate this occasion by showcasing her life's work and attributions to our students.

She being the first female teacher of India epitomised grace and elegance, played an important role in improving women's situation in pre-independence India and worked towards mobilising women for national movement. 

She along with her husband founded one of the first Indian girls' school in pune and worked towards abolishing the discrimination and unfair treatment of people based on caste and gender. 

She has left an indelible mark on all of our lives. PIMSE feels proud to be associated with Savitribai Phule Pune University(Affiliated University)
