Poona Institute of Management Sciences and Entrepreneurship organized an insightful session on "Introduction to Human Rights" from November 11th to 13th, 2024. The session aimed to raise awareness about the fundamental rights that every individual is entitled to and the importance of upholding these rights in modern society. The program provided the students with a deep understanding of the legal and social frameworks that protect human rights globally.

The session was conducted by Advocate Prashant Kshirsagar, the Treasurer and Member of the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM Pune Chapter). Advocate Kshirsagar brought his extensive legal expertise and experience in human rights advocacy to the session making it both informative and engaging. He covered various topics including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the role of international bodies such as the United Nations and the significance of human rights education in empowering individuals and communities.

Throughout the session, participants were encouraged to reflect on the contemporary challenges surrounding human rights and the ways in which individuals and organizations can contribute to promoting justice, equality and dignity for all. The event was well-received by the students who appreciated the depth of knowledge shared and the practical insights on how human rights are not only legal but moral imperatives in today's interconnected world.
